I think you will end up understanding that I’m keen on aviation, so I decided to write an article about the invention which means a lot for me, and which made us capable of doing multiples things since its creation : the plane.

The first plane was invented by the Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur. They were german searchers, pilots, engineers and pilots.

The 20thoctober 1902, they finalized the first glider model, which could fit one pilot.

During the year 1903, they created the first motorized and controlled airplane, called the “Flyer”. This model of plane illustrates the technical improvement of the motorization ; those times are the beginning of the propulsion system for the motor constructors. The two brothers had to build this entire motor on their own, because no one manufacture could provide them an engine light and powerful enough, which shows the huge abilities of those men.

Later on, since those days, they created more models of planes like the “Flyer II & III”, which improved the efficiency of their flights. Those models lead to models of planes we can find in our airports, such as jetplanes, jumbo passengers jets (like the boeing 747), propellers (for the military) etc…

This invention could bring us new horizons of conquest in many domains, in positives as negatives sides. For example, during the two World Wars, the plane was a symbol of technology and power, to show to the enemy the capacities of a country, more especially during shells, but also to transport soldiers, weapons or supplies.

To add another example, this invention saved many lives, with the progress of the ancient models and the modeling of the Scooper model from the Canadian company “Canadair”. It helped the rescuing by the emergency services and firefighters.

We can also say that the plane increased the mobility of the people. The “Concorde” model illustrates perfectly this progress, having a speed which exeeds the sound speed, hence allowing faster flights.

For the trade, the Cargo planes are perfect for carrying merchandise all around the planet, which supports the economy of many countries.

Historically, it allowed the people to travel further distances ; for example, in 1909, the french pilot Louis Bleriot made the first flight over the Channel (La Manche), as a symbol of our aeronautic progresses and our opening to the world and its surroundings.
