after all this...

For the last blog article of this « special » year, i wanted to talk about what run in my head since we started this year, my profesionnal project. After passing my final exan (bac), I would like to join the french trade association called « Les Compagnons du Devoir », in the pastry formation.

This association was created centiries ago, at the 12th century. It gathered first stonemasons, then carpenters and until now, it gathers around thirty professions in various fields.

It welcomes trainees and carry them through many years of learning thanks to the « Tour de France », where the trainee will learn diferent cultures, techniques and create a new group of friends, which shares the same passion for an occupation.

They just sent me an email saying that I’m accepted in their schools, so it takes of a weight out of my mind for the moment, but I have to keep going and looking for an employer who will be ready to overcome the difficulties due to Coronavirus.

I think that this type of studies suits me, because every trainee will learn what he is really passionate in, and it is the moment to turn and enter in the adult life, being carried by other people who had more experimented life. I think the values they reflect can be constructive, such as sharing, work rigour, solid frienship or mutual aid… On top of that, they allow trainees to go one year in a country of their choice to make and realize a personal plan.

During my life, I would like to travel a lot, discovering new techniques of working of diferent French areas, and even around the world. French pastry allows profesionnals to find a job in every corner of the globe, so it can be a great alternative to turn my passion (the pastry) into my profession.

I hope one day people could visit me in my French bakery in any country where they’ll go !
